Description

This is a challenging high profile role to be responsible for providing insightful credit analysis, ensuring ratings accuracy and responding to investor inquiries. This opportunity involves developing an in-depth knowledge of the assigned asset class and writing thought-leading research. As part of the rating process you will manage effective interaction with investors, issuers and other relevant market participants.

Responsibilities

  • Performs analysis of credits and recommend ratings for new credits, or changes to ratings for existing credits. Usually focused on the less complex or lower profile and/or non-franchise credits of the team portfolio with limited supervision.
  • Authors research on issuer issues or transactions, pertinent credit events and sector trends, mainly focused in issuer portfolio, and contributes to industry and/or other analysts research.
  • Has select interaction with the media, mainly on own issuer portfolio, or credits rated or monitored by them, often under supervision of more senior colleagues.
  • Investor outreach mainly focuses on issuer portfolio.
  • Participates in or leads simple/ad hoc team projects
  • Actively mentors associate analysts
  • Leads issuer meetings including on-site visits and communicates professionally with investors and bankers with limited supervision.
  • Responds to investor calls and queries.
  • May participate in investor meetings arranged by more senior colleagues.

Qualifications

  • Graduate / second level degree (e.g., MBA, Master’s) or strong equivalent academic background in relevant areas.
  • Two to five years relevant experience that provides a good understanding of financial markets and business environment.
  • Well-developed analytical skills with the ability to collate information into reasoned arguments.
  • Strong written and oral communication capabilities
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities within deadlines.
  • Strong abilities in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
