Role/Responsibilities:

  • Perform reviews of credit rating / periodic review actions (mainly related to SFG issuers), on a sampled basis, to evaluate their comprehensiveness and consistency with Moody’s published rating methodologies.
  • Determine if the rating committee materials sufficiently explain the risks and factors relating to the credit analysis and evaluate whether the relevant methodologies were correctly applied and the ratings assigned are appropriate in light of the applicable methodologies.
  • Perform Data Model Process Reviews - which combine elements of credit rating action reviews with a more in-depth evaluation of the usage of data and quantitative tools in credit rating actions - with the aim to evaluate, among other things, the robustness and consistency in the use of data and credit rating quantitative tools in credit rating actions which use a given rating methodology.
  • Work with the relevant rating team and other pertinent stakeholders to make sure methodologies meet analytical relevance, consistency and transparency required criteria.
  • Work on various rating analytics special projects as relevant.

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in credit analysis , mainly focused on SFG issuers / lead analyst skills a plus
  • Knowledge of Moody’s rating methodologies beneficial
  • Ability to work under pressure with multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong analytical skills

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is [[$133,100 - [[$192,950, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
