We are a fast-paced customer success team for supporting award-winning product suites. This is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in applying their analytical and technical skills to build and support solutions for various segments of the structured finance markets. Within the first 6 months, you will get to learn about the fundamentals of various structured finance asset classes such as Consumer ABS, CLOs, and CMBS. You will also learn about a range of products such as Web Portal, Data Feeds, APIs, Desktop Products, and various Excel/Python-based solutions that we manage and support for our customers. We strongly believe in learning by doing models, so, we will expect you to assist with various technical/analytical client support and product management tasks of increased complexity while acquiring a good understanding of our business. You will be taking part in the design and integration of new features, and assisting our clients in meeting their overall structured finance technology, model, and data needs.

Role/Responsibilities:

Reverse Engineer Structure Finance transactions utilizing Moody’s structured finance APIs and cashflow engines
Assist senior members of the team in supporting and training clients on software applications and safe delivery/implementation of structured finance APIs.
Lead customer engagement of products and report on a regular basis to internal stakeholders
Assist in the release of refined data sets to internal/external clients and downstream processes.
Help to develop detailed customer installation and/or system integration plans for a wide variety of financial institutions using our analytics and data APIs.
Brainstorm, design and develop enterprise software products
Create technical design documents and present the details to a larger audience
Work collaboratively with a global team of salespeople, project managers, developers, and business analysts
Participate in architecture and design reviews for projects that require complex technical solutions
Perform gap analysis and provide business solutions
May require building cashflow models and perform performance data updates for Structured Finance transactions using the proprietary software platform.
Assist with special projects
Some travel is required.


Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in finance, Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, or related field. A master’s degree is preferred
5+ years of working experience, preferably in the structured finance industry
Working knowledge of API wrappers using C++, Python, C#, and Java or other scripting or coding languages required.
Familiarity with API protocols and standards like REST, SOAP, or GraphQL, and understanding of their applications in different contexts.
Strong problem-solving skills - Debugging issues related to API integration to identify problems, isolate the cause, and implement effective solutions.
Familiarity with API development tools and platforms such as Postman, Swagger, or Apigee.
Knowledge of Relational and NoSQL databases is a plus
Ability to learn quickly and work independently
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail with excellent organizational and analytical skills and the ability to handle multiple projects
Prior working experience of Intex and/Or Trepp APIs or product suites a plus
Familiarity with Salesforce and Gainsight
Comfort in preparing presentation materials and presenting software products

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $134,400 to $194,850 depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
