The Role

The Data Strategist Analyst will play a pivotal role in developing and orchestrating data strategies that align with organizational goals. This individual will work across teams to assess data dependencies, mitigate risks, and identify opportunities for growth through innovative data sourcing and partnerships initiatives. The role requires a strategic thinker with a strong analytical mindset to drive data-driven decision-making and ensure the organization’s data estate is optimized for scalability and business continuity.

Key Responsibilities and Objectives

  • Assemble and refine the data acquisition strategy across Data Estates to align with business objectives and customer use cases.
  • Define and implement frameworks that unify the approach to managing the network of data sources, ensuring consistency and alignment across the organization.
  • Evaluate potential new data sources for quality, relevance, and alignment with business needs.
  • Partner with cross-functional team to collate facts to inform strategic decisions.
  • Perform deep-dive analyses on unstructured data, analyze and interpret large datasets for patterns and actionable insights.
  • Identify and recommend approaches to leverage data as a strategic asset, including conducting analyses and aligning data efforts with business objectives.
  • Develop collateral that effectively synthesizes findings into clear, actionable recommendations for internal teams and external clients.
  • Maintain and nurture relationships with key data providers while exploring opportunities for strategic investments or partnerships.

Role requirements:

  • 2 - 4 years’ experience with preference given to quantitative background.
  • Undergraduate/first-level degree (e.g., Bachelor’s degree) is required.
  • Strong understanding of data sourcing strategies and risk management.
  • Familiarity with data quality standards, taxonomies, and interoperability requirements.
  • Familiarity with regulatory risks and compliance requirements related to data access and usage.
  • Ability to assess complex data dependencies and develop actionable strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Understanding of market trends in data acquisition, partnerships, and AI-driven solutions.
  • Advanced Excel skills and other tools data manipulation such as Python, SQL, R.
  • Familiarity with Machine Learning, GenAI models and project management.
  • Strong decision-making skills with a focus on long-term growth and scalability.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across diverse teams and geographies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate data strategies and risk mitigation plans.
