Responsibilities:

Moody's is seeking a dynamic and innovative Associate Director to join our Insurance Solutions operating unit as an Implementation Lead. Are you inspired by the challenges of understanding risk and designing key business processes that help companies drive robust risk management practices and maximize risk opportunities? Would you like a role helping to shape the future of insurance analytics and embracing these changes on a market scale?

This role is a unique opportunity where every day you will be part of a team advising clients on different topics and implementing transformational changes to their exposure and risk management workflows. We want to take your exposure and catastrophe risk management expertise and build on it, incorporating the latest science, technologies, and analytics. With this expanded knowledge, you can apply it across many insurance customer situations for potentially huge transformation opportunities.

  • Workflow Migration and Transformation: Leverage the capabilities of the Intelligent Risk Platform (IRP) and other Moody’s solutions to redesign clients' insurance analytics workflows, making them smarter, more efficient, and insightful. Design and develop repeatable solutions to key exposure management and catastrophe modeling workflows, augmenting and extending them with broad Moody’s data and IP.
    • Build and maintain expertise in the ever-evolving capabilities of the IRP and the ways it can be incorporated into client workflows to deliver more value and efficiency for different client segments (large commercial, treaty reinsurance, etc.) and use cases (pre-bind, post-bind, etc.).
    • Spend time with clients to understand their business objectives and key challenges.
    • Oversee work performed during project inception and discovery that assesses workflow complexity, maps client workflows, and creates high-level designs that define how the platform fits into client workflows.
    • Define the scope of the project based on client requirements in collaboration with the Moody’s Solution Architect.
  • Project Leadership: The Implementation Lead is the face of the project and owns its success, ultimately ensuring that the client’s objectives have been achieved through the delivery of the solution. While the Lead is responsible for directing all the functional work of the project, the role requires visibility into all areas of the project (technical, QA, project management). This visibility ensures that the solution meets the client’s needs.
    • Work with the Moody’s Solution Architect to gather information that informs an implementation budgetary estimate and recommends a Moody’s or Partner Prime approach.
    • Craft the implementation work order for fixed scope projects to be included in the commercial agreement with the client.
    • For smaller projects, the Implementation Lead will work side-by-side with the Implementation Specialist and/or Associate to help create some of the project artifacts and deliverables (e.g., workflow review). For larger/complex projects that may have multiple workstreams, the Implementation Lead may direct the activities of the Implementation Specialists and Analysts while not actually performing the detailed work. Regardless, the Implementation Lead must be aware of all project details and is accountable for the quality of all artifacts and deliverables.
    • For projects with technical deliverables, the Implementation Lead oversees the following tasks:
      • Detailed requirements elicitation and documentation.
      • Development of the use cases.
      • Development of the test plan and UAT.
      • Act as the escalation point when there is scope creep and work with the client to identify priorities.
      • Drives the development of standard, repeatable processes and artefacts for our delivery methodology.
      • Provide advice and guidance to our implementation partners in the functional aspects of the implementation engagements they are leading.
      • Responsible for presenting project deliverables to the client’s senior stakeholders (e.g., CRO, CUO, CIO).
  • Client Partnership: Build strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and aligning our solutions with their strategic objectives. Act as a trusted advisor, helping them to act with confidence in their decision-making.
  • Innovation Contribution: Contribute to industry innovation by implementing new technologies and frameworks into clients’ business processes. This includes working closely with Moody’s product management teams to provide insights from clients that can inform future improvements and innovations in Moody’s solutions.

About the team:
Our Insurance Solutions team is responsible for driving innovation across the re/insurance industry by delivering market-leading technologies, science, and analytics today, and designing for the future. By joining our team, you will be part of exciting work in transforming exposure and catastrophe risk management workflows, helping our clients take advantage of Moody’s broad capabilities.
