Title: Associate Director Manager - Software Engineering

Location: 7 World Trade Center, 250 Greenwich Street, New York, NY 10007 (Principal place of business - telecommuting permitted)

Duties: Help maintain Legacy software applications using C# and the .NET Framework. Participate in exploratory and execution of .NET Framework to .NET Core migrations. Participate in exploratory and execution of Microservice implementations. Use Git for version control and collaborate with other developers on team. Expand unit test coverage for new and existing code bases. Adhere to Agile software development methodologies. Evaluate functional requirements, create technical implementation plan, and review implementation of developers. Create a team to oversee support of legacy products used by customers. Help implement change to adopt agile methodology. Lead adoption of modern coding principles, including code reviews, unit tests, and architectural reviews. Communicate technical initiatives to internal stakeholders. Domestic and international travel required approximately 10% of the time. Destination and frequency of travel impossible to predict. Telecommuting Permitted (100% telecommuting position. Will consider applicants resident in the continental U.S.).

Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical field plus at least five (5) years of progressively responsible experience as a Software Engineer, Developer, or in a related position performing software development and designing technical solutions. Must have experience with the following: applying knowledge of Object-Oriented design and development; working with Git, SQL, Object Oriented Programming, SOLID Principles, JavaScript, Microservices, Architecture, Agile Software Development, JSON, XML, Visual Studio, .NET Core and Framework, REST APIs, Model View Controller pattern, Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment, Single page applications, Unit testing, API integration, Ajax, and Angular. Must also have at least two (2) years of experience working with C# programming. Domestic and international travel required approximately 10% of the time. Destination and frequency of travel impossible to predict. Telecommuting Permitted (100% telecommuting position. Will consider applicants resident in the continental U.S.).

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $179,982 to $230,850, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
