Title: Associate Director - Staff Software Engineer
Location: 7 World Trade Center, 250 Greenwich Street, New York, NY 10007 (Principal place of business - telecommuting permitted)
Duties: Contribute towards the architecture, development, and maintenance of the next generation content delivery platform hosting moodys.com. Lead technology transformation and accelerate journey towards highly available, scalable Cloud native technologies. Carry out entire software development lifecycle, including analysis, requirement specification, use case and technical design, development, testing, and implementation. Deliver assigned tasks and/or specific tracks of solution on time, escalating issues when appropriate as well as educating others in the form of code reviews, workshops, and documentation. Define solutions, integrations, and technical architectures. Leverage Agile-based principles and practices to deliver high quality code and systems. Participate in software design, development, and end-to-end implementation. Develop, test, debug, and document at all levels, including unit, system, integration, and performance testing. Provide high level estimation to facilitate planning, execution, and roadmap initiatives. Assist with estimation of development tasks, project planning, risk identification, and mitigation planning. Collaborate with technical teams and business owners as needed during design and implementation. Telecommuting Permitted (100% telecommuting position. Will consider applicants resident in the continental U.S.).
Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical field plus at least five years (5) of progressively responsible experience as a Software Engineer, Technical Consultant, or in a related position performing software development and designing technical solutions. Must have experience with the following: formulating and analyzing software requirements using Agile and Waterfall methodologies; working with Object Oriented Programming, algorithms, design patterns, data structures, multi-threaded programming, unit testing, and SDLC; working with Java-script, HTML, Apex, Visual Force, API, Force.com, and automated testing tools; and working with Adobe Experience Cloud products. For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $179,982 to $203,350, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
