Skills and Competencies

  • 3-5+ years of direct B2B sales experience within financial services, preferably in the P&C insurance segment
  • Proven success in driving year-over-year revenue growth with consultative sales of complex software, SaaS, or analytics solutions
  • Ability to forecast, negotiate, and close business deals on a quarterly cycle, defending the price and demonstrating value
  • Experience communicating with C-Level executives and articulating compelling value propositions
  • Proficiency in building and closing complex solution sales involving software, risk, or analytical products
  • Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken; Spanish fluency is a plus

 

 

Education

Undergraduate degree in business, economics, finance, marketing, or related fields

 

 

 

Responsibilities

Our high-performing sales team seeks an Assistant Director to drive retention and grow the client base across the Americas region, focusing on (re)insurance and MGA clients. This role involves consulting at the C-Level, solving complex customer challenges using a solutions-sales strategy, and ensuring long-term client satisfaction by supporting renewals and retention. Sales growth will stem from promoting Moody’s data, models, and platforms, including the Intelligent Risk Platform, while fostering lasting customer relationships.

This entrepreneurial role maps market drivers to customer needs, creating a compelling buying vision while developing long-term, trusted relationships. Critical duties include liaising with C-Level executives, driving new sales in the insurance market, demonstrating Moody’s High-Definition models’ value, and supporting customer renewals and retention efforts. The role demands strategic thinking, proactive engagement, and the ability to address client needs with innovative solutions while maintaining existing client partnerships.

  • Build and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed annual sales goals and targets that align with the company’s vision and objectives
  • Work with sales colleagues and other internal stakeholders to help drive customer retention while initiating new sales activities and managing sales cycles to closure
  • Assess the needs of clients by gaining an understanding of the specific issues facing the client based on their business requirements
  • Develop and nurture relationships with key decision makers and influencers
  • Understand all Moody’s data, modelling, software, and service solutions to drive holistic client engagement
  • Manage internal sales reporting, including maintaining an accurate account of opportunities in Salesforce
  • Represent Moody’s at industry and company sponsored events
  • Position requires approximately 40% travel

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $93,600.00 - $135,750.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
