ROLE/RESPONSIBILITIES
Orbis is the world's most powerful comparable data resource on private companies, with information on around 450 million companies across all countries.
As Assistant Director - Product Manager (Insights and Visualization) you will be focusing on analytics capabilities for our industry leading Orbis and Catalyst suite of product.
You’ll be part of a cross-functional team responsible for drawing insights from the vast amount of operational and functional data coming from the various products and processes.
Working alongside product managers, strategists, subject matter experts, Customer service and other operational teams, you will participate to the successful delivery of key initiatives that drive Data Solutions' revenue growth.
In addition to this, you’ll drive growth by introducing, analysing, and managing implementation of visualization-based features on the product.
Specific responsibilities for the position may include:
* Providing insights on product’s operational and functional data and creating rich dashboards for a variety of use cases.
* Act as a liaison between the engineering, program management and research teams to facilitate understanding of the design requirements specific to visualization on the product.
* Act as a technical analyst at times to refine the product requirements.
* At times, act as a product owner for a specific module within the product to get the product requirements implemented.
* Ensure that new features are implemented according to specification and problems are corrected.
* Assist in providing content and reviewing documentation for release or new features.
* Support training activities on the technical and analytical aspects of the product.
* Assist in providing client product support.
Qualifications:
* Undergraduate/first-level degree (e.g., Bachelor's) at least with an emphasis in computer science, engineering, math, finance, or a related quantitative field preferred
* Typically requires at least 5-7 years of relevant professional experience in either Product Management/Analysis or Software Engineering; involved in data analysis and driving insights and at times acting as a module owner in getting product features implemented.
* Proven experience in various end to end visualization tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, Sisense etc, and integration of those within the product workflow for internal reporting and client facing applications.
* Experience defining and building SaaS services, products, and infrastructure at scale (i.e. through the AWS/Google Cloud/MS Azure) is required.
* Comfortable with supporting the needs of multiple teams, ?systems, and products.
* Quick to learn and understand new technical concepts and technologies and share this knowledge with others.
* We often get pulled into multiple directions when it comes to our dashboards and issues arising out of the product implementations. Hence, ability to coordinate and assist large teams in resolving complex analytical issues is required.
* The candidate will be required to speak with vendors to present our product requirements. Hence, experience in coordinating with vendor teams a big plus.
* The candidate will need to have expertise on agile process and provide mentorship to others to improve development process across the organization.
* Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
* Owing to the nature of the job, excellent oral and written communication skills in English is a must.
