We are a dynamic customer success team supporting award-winning product suites. This Associate Director - Customer Success Engineer offers the chance to apply analytical and technical skills to build and support solutions for various segments of the structured finance markets : RMBS, Agencies, ABS, CLOs and CMBS. In the first six months, you will learn about our products such as Cash Flow modeling tools and processing, Web Portal, Data Feeds, APIs, and Excel/Python-based solutions. This role is pivotal in our organization’s profitability with our objective to help customers derive ongoing value from structured finance solutions and services throughout Moody’s. You will be the first line of interaction with customers and the first to offer assistance with technical/analytical issues. Your role will include participating in the design and integration of new features. Initially, the role will focus on leveraging product expertise in RMBS, the ability to communicate effectively with customers, understand their product needs and translate that into action in the product delivery process.
Role/Responsibilities:
- Maintain detailed understanding and documentation of customer use cases, usage metrics health scores
- Lead customer engagement and report to internal stakeholders
- Deepen customer relationships across seniority and function areas, positioning the company in an advisory role
- Ability to reverse engineer structured finance transactions using Moody’s APIs and cash flow engines
- Experience in building cash flow models and update performance data for structured finance transactions
- Support and train clients on software applications and structured finance APIs
- Develop customer installation and system integration plans using our analytics and data APIs
- Participate in architecture and design reviews for complex technical solutions.
- Perform gap analysis and provide business solutions
- Assist with special projects and travel as required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in the structured finance industry
- Proficiency in API wrappers and familiarity with API protocols, as helpful
- Prior experience in a customer-facing role
- Understanding of the banking and insurance industry
- Experience with credit models such as Probability of Default (PD), Loss Given Default (LGD), risk rating, economic capital and CECL
- Strong problem-solving skills for debugging software, data issues
- Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and ability to handle multiple projects
- Experience with Intex and/or Trepp APIs or product suites is a plus
- Familiarity with Salesforce and Gainsight
For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $134,400.00 - $194,850.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
