Role Description:

The Data Platform & Automation Product Owner will lead design and development of automation initiatives within the Data Estate team leveraging our data platform. The platform ingests data from a variety of sources, cleans, processes and presents it for use by internal product development teams. This data drives a vast number of decisions by our users and products daily. Establishing automation initiatives using modern techniques such as GenAI and ML is the primary responsibility of this role.

The role will be responsible for a data engineering and automation squad for one of Moody’s Analytics’ most critical data platforms. Our data platform has a bias towards rapid shipping and delivery of new data sets. The Data Platform Product Manager will drive effective delivery and efficiently unblock team members and decisions.

This position is part of the Data Product Management Team, a dynamic, analytical group that is curious about data but relentlessly focused on driving value for customers and the business.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate/first-level degree (e.g., Bachelor’s) or graduate/second-level degree (e.g. MBA, Master’s) with an emphasis in finance, economics, accounting, math, or related quantitative field preferred.
  • 10+ year(s) of experience in product management or product development with data intensive B2B products or data platform implementation.
  • Prior technical business analyst or technical product management level knowledge and experience of AWS services or other warehousing products in a data platform arena (for example, Glue, Athena, Redshift, Snowflake, Databricks, Kafka or S3)
  • Prior experience building and evolving data processes leveraging GenAI or ML automation from an internal enterprise standpoint
  • Experience and proficiency using SQL for data analysis
  • Previous experience presenting data to business stakeholders using data analytics tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, QuickSight, Excel etc.
  • Experience working in a matrixed environment and managing a development team supplemented by external consulting or vendor resources.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Superb analytical skills and persistence in problem solving.
  • Demonstrated initiative, enthusiasm to learn, excel and be a part of a dynamic team.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $169,800.00 - $246,150.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
