Skills and Competencies

* Desire to learn new skills and cover new challenges

* Applies knowledge and basic problem-solving techniques to define and resolve problems

* Positive attitude and ability to work as a member of a team

* Determines a course of action based on guidelines

* Able to provide basic / transactional support to the business planning processes and deliverables

Education

* Advanced studies in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics or another

quantitative field. Ideally one year ahead of graduation

* Entry-level position, no previous experience required

* Good verbal & written English skills

* Good analytical and attention to detail skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide support on the month end processes, reporting and Ad Hoc requests based on Finance business needs
  • Collaborate in the preparation of the monthly reports that will help identify key focus areas for management, in a timely manner
  • Assist with the preparation of various financial processes and deliverables: i.e. forecast, budget, month end close, monthly reporting, stakeholder requests, etc.
  • Collaborate in the automation, improvement and/or reengineering of the current financial processes
  • Partner with other teams in Finance to foster good working relationships with the rest of the organization
  • Adopt Diversity, Equity & Inclusion principles and help to promote the Moody’s culture within the Finance team members

Costa Rica hosts Moody's second largest finance team, an essential strategic partner across the company's financial operations. It consists of nearly 160 colleagues across a range of departments, including Finance Operations & Tax, Investor Relations, Data & Analytics, FP&A, and Procurement.
