Overview:
Join our dynamic Asset Management team as a Financial Engineer, where you'll play a key role in empowering our esteemed internal and external clients to leverage our advanced structured solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge financial products and contribute to the optimization of our data management processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Client Empowerment: Collaborate with internal and external clients to ensure they can effectively utilize our structured solutions.
• Data Management Automation: Develop and implement automated data management processes, focusing on Japanese securitization products.
• Model Construction & Reporting: Construct cash flow models and generate detailed monitoring reports tailored to the needs of investors and underwriters.

Qualifications:

Essential:

• Analytical Skills: Exceptional ability to analyze performance data of financial products and assess the accuracy of projected cash flows generated by credit models.
• Communication & Japanese Proficiency: Native Japanese language skills are a must, with the ability to respond in Japanese to clients, including using correct Kanji characters. At least business-level English skills are also required to collaborate effectively with overseas teams.
• Financial Acumen: Experience in reading and interpreting Japanese financial product prospectuses.
• Problem-Solving: Proven ability to identify client pain points/challenges and devise innovative solutions using internal resources.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and experienced in programming languages such as C++, Python, or Basic.
• Adaptability: Quick learner with the ability to adapt to the company’s proprietary software.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous with a strong capacity for multitasking, both independently and as part of a team.
• Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative team player.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.

Preferred:

• Experience: 1-3 years in Structured Finance, Derivatives, and/or Fixed Income products.
• Securitization Knowledge: Ability to read deal documents for Japanese securitization products and understand cash flow waterfalls.
• SQL Familiarity: Experience with SQL is a plus.
• Advanced Education: A Master’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or Economics is highly desirable.
