Pre and Post Sales Engineer - Government

Moody’s is a leading provider of data driven information solutions. We are looking for Pre & Post Sales Engineer to join the Public Sector team. The Sales Engineer (SE) will work closely with the Public Sector sales team and solution consultants to provide technical & functional expertise of both existing and new customer fulfillment. The SE will be involved in all facets of the sales cycle.
After the contract is signed, the SE will coordinate activities across product specialists to fulfill the customer requirements. We are looking for a creative problem solver with intense customer and market focus. The right candidate will be able to communicate with sales executives, business users, and technical architects.

Core Responsibilities:
* Support the implementation and delivery of Moody’s solutions for Public Sector customers.
* Will be the main technical point of contact for all strategic accounts from a post-sales aspect and manage communications between clients and internal Moody’s teams.
* Provide feedback to the sales teams on opportunities for upselling and cross-selling existing customers.
* Evaluate RFP technical requirements to determine Moody’s ability to deliver and identify technical gaps (if applicable); support the bid/no-bid decision process.
* Provide technical content, workflow design, etc. as part of the RFP process
* Coordinate solution SMEs from across Moody’s to design solutions and conduct POCs to show the value of our offerings. In this role the SA is acting as technical project lead Provide feedback on strategy and product roadmap by working with product and strategy team members and product owners. Contribute to outbound marketing messaging and thought leadership pieces

Qualifications:
* Hands-on experience with large datasets including but not limited to business data, UBO, open-source data sets, etc.
* Ability to aggregate disparate datasets into a common environment for analysis and to uncover insights, in support of our customer use cases
* Certified Fraud Examiner certification is a plus but not required
* Desired technical skills include hands-on experience with a relational database (e.g. SQL Server), ETL tools, structured programming languages, AWS technology stack, etc.
* 5-10+ years of Public Sector pre-sales experience
* 5+ years in a post-sales role supporting the delivery of data, software and/or services
* Experience supporting Federal and State governments
* Excellent client facing manner and presentation skills
* Willingness to travel up to 30% domestically
* Eligible to work in the Unites States
* TS clearable preferred

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $134,400.00 - $194,850.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
