The Role / Responsibilities:

The Procurement & Sourcing Group is looking for a Data Analyst responsible for designing and optimizing the end to end data process for all Procurement data. This role will assist in creating and documenting processes for our data pipeline, remediating issues in our data leveraging automation and rules engines, as well as designing data driven solution using data analytics skills.

Key responsibilities include:

Data Quality Management: Establish processes and methodologies to supervise, measure, and improve data quality across different data sources, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and completeness.

Data Operations Optimization: Continuously evaluate and enhance data operations processes, finding opportunities to automate, streamline, and improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Data Integration and ETL: Contribute to the design and implementation of data integration and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to enable seamless data flow across systems, applications, and databases.

Multi-functional Teamwork: Collaborate with procurement and procurement team members to develop knowledge on our customer’s use cases, understand business requirements and priorities to reach our business objectives. This role will also be collaborating with Technology, to help design and optimize data architecture, data model, and data pipeline. Support clients and internal partners with data-related requests.

Additional responsibilities:

Work closely with management to prioritize business and information needs

Assist clients and internal partners with data-related requests

Support corporate initiatives and projects related to data requests and analytical products

Work with external customers and system vendors to coordinate data file transfers

Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, and/or Statistics or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • At least 4 years of relevant work experience, preferably with a focus on data management, data operations, data analytics, automation or a related role
  • Understanding of data architectures, data modeling, ETL processes, and data integration technologies.
  • Advanced SQL
  • Solid understanding of AWS Glue and Athena or equivalent experience using Microsoft Azure and/or building Microsoft Fabric Solutions.
  • Advance knowledge of Python
  • Exposure to third-party BI Tools such as Tableau and Power BI
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to recognize and comprehend complex issues, processes, and requirements regarding managing large data sets.
  • Adaptable to change and able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Version control experience managing code and documentation as a team with Git (e.g. Github/GitLab)
  • Required to interact with internal team members in different physical locations with clear and concise communication required
  • Comfortable speaking in front of small groups and presenting their perspectives to stakeholders on both side of the process
  • Interest in automating data workflows with Generative AI is a plus
