Skills and Competencies

  • 5-8+ years of relevant experience in HR, Benefits, or Payroll project management, with at least 2+ years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
  • Strong working knowledge of global payroll, benefits systems, and compensation programs.
  • Experience managing vendors and third-party systems such as CloudPay, Benify, or SAP
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, influence stakeholders, and deliver results in complex global environments.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

Education

  • Professional certifications such as PMP, Prince2, SHRM-CP/SCP, CEBS, are highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with payroll reporting and reconciliations.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to support rotational shift (US hours)

Responsibilities

As a Payroll Project Manager you will lead the end-to-end delivery of global initiatives focused on benefits, compensation, and payroll integration. This role requires strong project management skills, including the ability to coordinate across HR, payroll, vendors (such as Benify and CloudPay), and regional stakeholders. You will be responsible for managing timelines, requirements, testing, and implementation of new benefit offerings and system enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and own multiple global compensation and benefits projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely, compliant, and budget-conscious delivery.
  • Develop project plans, track milestones, and coordinate cross-functional teams including Payroll, HRIS, Finance, and Legal.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for vendor implementation partners (e.g., Benify, CloudPay), ensuring effective communication and governance.
  • Assess and manage project risks, dependencies, and interconnections, escalating challenges to leadership when necessary.
  • Drive process improvement and operational efficiency across Total Rewards programs by identifying automation opportunities and optimizing systems.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with global stakeholders; influence without authority.
  • Create clear documentation, status reports, and executive updates to communicate progress and outcomes.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
