Skills and Competencies.
- 5+ years in FP&A, accounting, or financial analysis, focusing on corporate finance.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close processes, with advanced Excel skills and proficiency in ERP and FP&A systems.
- Proven ability to prepare and present financial data to senior executives, with strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities accurately, with problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, strong business acumen, and understanding of financial drivers within Shared Services.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with high integrity and capability to manage confidential information.
- Able to work with large amounts of data, utilize reporting applications and tools, and improve recurring processes to avoid errors.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and provide support to business planning processes and deliverables.
Education
- Bachelor´s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics is required.
Responsibilities
- Financial Planning & Reporting Oversight: Lead financial performance forecasting and reporting for Moody’s international regions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic priorities.
- Executive & Regional Collaboration: Work closely with senior management teams to develop and communicate key financial insights, and partner with affiliate CEOs and CFOs to analyze financial and operational performance.
- Month-End Close & Variance Analysis: Manage revenue and expense consolidation, conduct in-depth variance analysis between actuals, forecasts, and budgets to provide actionable insights.
- Budgeting, Forecasting & Strategic Planning: Oversee core planning functions, including results analysis, budgeting, and long-term forecasting. Drive driver-based financial modeling to support data-driven decision-making for senior leadership.
- KPI Tracking & Performance Measurement: Develop financial models and key metrics to track business performance, identify historical trends, and highlight focus areas for management to optimize profitability.
- Executive-Level Reporting & Presentations: Prepare and communicate monthly reports, ELT presentations, and financial dashboards, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and strategic alignment in reporting for senior leadership and key stakeholders.
- Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Coordination: Manage a team of junior analysts across multiple geographies, foster collaboration with business units and FP&A colleagues to streamline reporting processes, strengthen financial oversight, and drive operational efficiencies.
About the team
Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) will play a key role in supporting the AVP of FP&A with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. This position will oversee the region’s costs and investments, manage month-end close processes in coordination with accounting, and prepare executive-level reports. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of financial processes, and the ability to effectively communicate financial insights to senior leadership.
