Key Job Responsibilities
- Support the Go-To-Market planning and execution for a range of Moody’s climate solutions across Moody’s corporate and government segments.
- Collaborate across model developers, consulting, sales, product, and client relationship managers to drive commercial success and market adoption.
- Provide in-depth technical support throughout sales engagements and RFPs including business value assessments, demonstrations, proof-of-concept engagements, and references, to educate clients and articulate competitive distinction of Moody’s products and models.
- Produce relevant collateral, use cases, and presentation material, leveraging marketing and communication resources
- Foster strong technical relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders, emphasizing the value of Moody’s solutions
- Help build intelligence on market trends around the value of climate data and analytics, gather client feedback and market information, and define future product features and development priorities.
- Partner with relationship managers in identifying and qualifying opportunities, assisting in client conversations, and helping shape solutions to address client needs
Minimum Qualifications
The position will suit candidates with a strong technical background and interest in applying climate science within financial services decision making, especially within, though not limited to, the corporate and government sectors. The successful candidate must possess a blend of business and technical know-how and be highly client and solution focused. Requirements for this position are as follows:
- Degree in environmental, physical science, economics or a related technical field
- Deep knowledge of climate risk use cases and relevant market trends
- 5+ years’ experience in corporate risk management, insurance, asset management, or other financial services.[SG(1]
- Good research and problem-solving skills, combined with the ability to understand client requirements and product positioning during commercial engagements.
- Possess a consultative selling approach to client interactions and demonstrate versatility in engaging in technical subjects to a varied client base, from C-suite to technical experts.
- Must have good English written and oral communication skills.
- Be an excellent team player while having a high degree of self-motivation and ability to work independently.
- Ability to travel when required.
Preferred qualifications
- 3+ years’ experience in climate risk-related data analysis and research, related to physical and/or transition risk.[SG(2]
- Experience in a client or customer facing role
- Knowledge of or experience working with catastrophe models, ideally Moody’s RMS models and applications.
- Master’s degree in environmental or physical science or a related technical field
- If this is for a broader climate position you could potentially reduce this to ~3+ years for a more junior level.
- Similar to above, this could be reduced if it was a broader climate position and a junior role.
For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is [[$110,000 - [[$160,000, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
