Department: Procurement & Sourcing Group

Job Summary: The Responsible Procurement Manager will lead and manage inclusion and sustainability initiatives. This role is responsible for developing and executing strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, and promoting responsible sourcing practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategy Development and Execution:
    • Define program goals, metrics, targets, governance, and long-range plans for responsible sourcing initiatives.
    • Develop and execute a corporate-wide Supplier Diversity strategy that aligns with the company's diversity and inclusion efforts.
    • Establish functional and specific supplier diversity targets and frameworks.
    • Maintain process integrity and adherence to internal policies and controls.
  2. Inclusion:
    • Partner with sourcing teams to identify opportunities to incorporate supplier diversity into the sourcing process.
    • Implement and manage a robust diverse business community outreach program.
    • Partner with approved diverse suppliers to ensure procurement language is embedded in their presentations.
    • Facilitate meetings between suppliers and internal business partners.
  3. Sustainability Initiatives:
    • Collaborate with business partners to engage targeted suppliers that significantly impact emission programs.
    • Expand supplier risk management protocols across the business by enhancing processes and incorporating new technology and tracking mechanisms.
    • Work closely with sourcing, procurement, and legal teams to ensure appropriate responsible sourcing language is incorporated into bid opportunities and contracts.
  4. Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Attend and occasionally host external events, conferences, trade shows, and supplier roundtables for engagement with the responsible sourcing community.
    • Explore associations and organizations related to supplier diversity procurement and become an active member.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or comparable experience in leading supplier sustainability initiatives.
  • 3-5 years of experience with responsible sourcing initiatives.
  • Experience developing and implementing company-wide inclusion strategies.
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations that apply to a Responsible Sourcing Program.
  • Procurement process knowledge, contract management, financial analysis, market analysis, supplier analysis, supplier diversity, supplier management, technology utilization, strategic planning, and integrated supply chain experience.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills; proven ability to track and successfully complete complex projects.
  • Experience organizing change management, awareness, and training for end users.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a team-focused mentality.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in procurement or supply chain management.
  • Experience with sustainability reporting and metrics.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is [[$82,400 - [[$119,450, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
