Title: Software Engineer

Location: 1414 South Tryon Street, Charlotte, NC 28203

Duties: Deliver code changes related to bug fixes and new feature development in new and existing software systems. Write and maintain unit tests to ensure test coverage meets or exceeds organizational standard. Participate in regular code reviews and evaluations to understand clean code design, as well as receive continuous feedback on contributions to the team. Collaborate with Agile Squad to deliver prioritized business value through software solutions. Communicate clearly with technical leadership to express ideas and approaches through the pull request process. Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to backlog grooming, story estimation and retrospectives. Work with tools and techniques to design and develop software applications and systems. Learn and improve existing knowledge in libraries, technologies, and platforms relevant to organization. Design and develop financial applications using Angular, Java. Also design and modify micro services using Spring framework to add or modify existing functionalities. Design user interfaces based on requirements using HTML, CSS, Angular, and RxJs. Design REST API’s in Spring to accommodate data requirements for UI. Design solutions by leveraging knowledge of web application standards and build tools.

Requirements: Requires a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field. Must have experience or academic training with the following: performing software development and designing technical solutions; architecting, designing, developing, and implementing solutions to support enhancements and bug fixes in existing and new applications; applying knowledge of Core Java, Multithreading concepts, design patterns, and software development methodologies, including Agile, Data Structures and Algorithms, Database Design, and ER Modeling; applying knowledge of PL/SQL, Postgres, NoSQL, Angular, Java, JavaScript, AWS EC2, AWS S3, AWS Lambda, GitHub, Bitbucket, PostMan, NPM, Typescript, and Eclipse; applying knowledge of open source frameworks and build tools, including Gradle and GIT; and applying knowledge of network based application development, web technologies, and standards.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $112,986 to $137,400, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
