Software Engineering Graduate

In the Moody’s Analytics Banking Solutions group, we help lending institutions make important decisions about their business, particularly when they are providing loans, managing risk, or conducting financial planning for the future of their institution. We do this with our innovative software and reliable analytics, helping them understand how to do their job better through training, learning solutions and advisory services. We are a dedicated team of experts in technology and financial analytics who understand what our clients need.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver regulatory configurations
  • Participate in End-to-End testing activities (unitary testing, configuration, results and reports analysis, bug identification and correction)
  • Work with clients and internal teams to analyze and document issues and deliver solutions
  • Roll out product releases, including non-regression testing, acceptance and release presentations
  • Present new features internally and to clients

Qualifications :

This Graduate opportunity is open to 2024 and 2025 graduates at the Bachelors and Masters levels available to start the program in September 2025

Desired areas of study include, but are not limited to Finance or STEM

Must have:

  • Ability to code, e.g. SQL, Python
  • Analytical mind, keen to investigate and address technical issues
  • Ability and desire to participate in all phases of a software development project
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact with business experts and IT
  • Strong spoken and written English
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent teammate

Nice to have:

  • Understanding of bank financial instruments
  • Experience with software vendors, banks or advisories
  • Basic Basel II / Basel III Credit Risk domain knowledge or alternatively basic knowledge on Basel II/III Market Risk or Liquidity Risk.
  • Knowledge of AWS

Role and Responsibilities :

The Moody's Analytics Graduate Program will provide the opportunity to gain in-depth insight into a broad range of financial institutions, working within our Banking Operating Unit (OU), passionate about delivering high quality products and services across our client base. With a combination of formal and on-the-job training, alongside ongoing mentoring, you will be expected to work collaboratively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

The 12-month program will start in September 2023 on a permanent contract.

Moody’s Analytics Basel regulatory compliance capital solutions provide calculations and analytics for regulatory reporting needs of banks. Within our product management team, as a Graduate, you will participate in the development of our new SaaS solution (Banking Cloud), as well as support the clients using our flagship on-premise solution (RiskAuthority).

Banking Cloud is a highly configurable solution whose configuration is delivered by the product team. In this role, you will deliver new configurations for regulatory updates, new supervisors and regulations. Product owner will define the priorities during the sprint planning, and assign tasks to the product analysts who will be responsible for developing and testing the required configuration. Sense-checks of the non-regression tests and release acceptance will also be a part of the role. On the RiskAuthority side, you will support Client Services and implementation teams and work on specifications and configurations for new regulatory requirements.
