We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, with a focus on cloud technologies, particularly AWS. This role requires proficiency in Python and SQL, as well as a deep understanding of data engineering principles and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on cloud technologies (AWS preferred).
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
  • Experience with AWS services such as S3, Redshift, Lambda, and Glue.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with other cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, GCP).
  • Knowledge of big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques.

Education:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and systems on AWS.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver data solutions that meet business needs.
  • Implement data integration and ETL processes using PySpark and SQL and Kakfa.
  • Optimize and tune SQL queries for performance and efficiency.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity through rigorous testing and validation.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure reliability and performance.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies in data engineering and cloud computing.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is [[$112,000.00 - [[$162,550.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
