We are hiring for a Senior Internal Communications Strategist who’ll join Moody’s global Employee Communications team to help create bold, clear content. The candidate will also use his/her storytelling expertise to help inspire and enable Moody’s employees in their role as brand champions and culture carriers.
In addition to content creation and execution, this role requires a proven ability to participate in, and lead, communications projects aligned with our company’s priorities with a goal of contributing to meaningful business outcomes that help us achieve our shared objectives. These objectives include making Moody’s a place where people want to come and stay.
Skills and Competencies
The ideal candidate is a dynamic communications professional with a demonstrated record of success in a global organization and proven leadership in employee communications strategy development and implementation. Approximately 5-7 years of communications experience is desired, ideally in or adjacent to the financial services industry.
Desired skills include:
- Exceptional writing and editing ability, as well as high attention to detail.
- Experience developing and implementing comprehensive internal communication strategies with large corporations using various communication mediums.
- Strong leadership skills and executive presence, complementing deep technical communication skills along with an ability to manage stakeholder expectations and build lasting rapport through interpersonal relationships.
- Broad knowledge of communication channels and trends, as well as an appreciation for ways they impact employee engagement and content optimization - this includes content management systems, collaboration tools and user experience principles.
- Strategic and creative thinker with the ability to develop original content and programs with minimal guidance, coupled with appreciation for scalable processes that help maintain efficiency in achieving our outcomes.
- Ability to prioritize and navigate a variety of activities in a dynamic, fast-paced, matrixed environment coupled with strong organizational skills to lead multiple projects simultaneously.

Education
Bachelor’s degree preferred, at minimum.
Primary Responsibilities
Content creation
- Create and implement content that is aligned with Moody’s tone of voice, ensuring the messages we share and the stories we tell are clear, concise, and compelling, resulting in our employees being more informed and engaged brand champions.
- Help our colleagues develop their voice to be bold, clear, authentic, and relevant in the stories we share about them.
- Contribute to our ongoing efforts to enhance how we measure the effectiveness of our communications work, particularly our content.
Relationship management
- Counsel our business partners on a range of strategic and tactical communications matters to help maintain alignment in the work we do with the priorities and objectives of our company and Global Corporate Affairs.
- Serve as an advisor to business partners, helping them increase the impact of the work they lead on behalf of Moody’s.
- Build relationships across the company to better connect people and information, resulting in a more informed, engaged, and inspired workforce.
About the team
As noted above, this role is aligned with Moody’s global Employee Communications & Events team. The group engages employees worldwide through storytelling to create experiences that help strengthen Moody’s culture and brand engagement. Employee Communications & Events is a part of Global Corporate Affairs at Moody’s which is also comprised of teams focused on a range of internal and external stakeholder engagement responsibilities for the company.
