Title: Senior Systems Engineer
Location: 1414 South Tryon Street, Charlotte, NC 28203
Duties: Design and implement backup solutions for servers, workstations and network attached storage. Serve as a
point of escalation for storage and backup challenges. Design and implement of Block storage systems and file storage migration. Develop and maintain appropriate controls, documentation and SOPs. Engage with vendors during sales cycle of new purchases and technology refreshes. Delegate projects and tasks to operations team. Collaborate cross functionally to implement validated solutions for various projects and technologies Troubleshoot and identify system issues relating to hardware, software, capacity, performance. Storage and backup capacity management. Availability and performance monitoring of storage and backup systems. Responsible for Incident management and root cause analysis.
Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or a closely related technical field plus five (5) years of progressively responsible experience as an Engineer, Administrator, Analyst or in a related technical position maintaining servers and storage systems. Must have experience with the following: Server virtualization; performing scripting and automation by leveraging Ansible, PowerShell or PowerCLI; applying knowledge of distributed directories and authentication, including Kerberos, LDAP, and Active Directory; working with converged infrastructure including VCE vXBlock, hyperconverged infrastructure, and vXRail; working with Windows and RHEL Operating systems; I/O workloads, data storage including RAID, SAN, vSAN, NAS, and Logical Volume Management, back-up concepts, and storage management including SAN, NAS, CIFs, and iSCSI; and applying networking fundamentals.
For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $138,174 to $142,800/yr, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
