Title: Staff Software Engineer

Location: 7 World Trade Center, 250 Greenwich Street, New York, NY 10007, USA (Principal place of business - telecommuting permitted)

Duties: Coordinate program development of computer software applications, systems, services from design through product release. Contribute to software processes for operations, systems, projects, tools, or policies. Prepare technical requirements and software design specifications. Develop data production systems using AWS related services including glue, lambda and step functions. Work on complex user stories and develop solutions that are simple to build and operate. Assist with technical reviews and support management in continuously increasing capabilities. Share best practices and learnings with broader engineering group to accelerate collective capability and maturity of engineering. Build and automate data pipelines to transfer data to and from multiple layers. Perform CI and CD deployment to facilitate module releases across all platforms and accounts. Work on big data and build ETL jobs to migrate big data between environments. Build robust Pyspark code that handle big data and facilitate scalable solutions. Work on complex EMR jobs to perform ETL and write object-oriented programming and SQL queries to develop and monitor data pipeline jobs. Implement and launch using best engineering practices, such as detailed technical documentation, incorporating unit and integration testing, and enabling logging, monitoring, and alarms to ensure service follows SaaS standards. Telecommuting Permitted (100% telecommuting position. Will consider applicants resident in the continental U.S.).

Requirements: Requires a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related technical field plus at least three (3) years of experience as an Engineer or Developer, or in a related position performing software development and designing technical solutions. Must have experience with the following: formulating and analyzing software requirements using Agile and Waterfall methodologies; performing content management, data warehousing, reporting, and virtualization; working with Object Oriented Programming, algorithms, design patterns, data structures, multi-threaded programming, unit testing, and SDLC; working with Java-script, HTML, Apex, Visual Force, API, Force.com, and automated testing tools; designing, developing, testing, and automating ETL pipeline using Python, Scala, and Java on clouding computing platform; working with big data technologies such as Spark and Apache Hadoop; and using Pyspark code and python scripts to build data pipelines. For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $151,819 to $230,850, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
