Title: Sustainable Finance Analyst
Location: 7 World Trade Center, 250 Greenwich Street, New York, NY 10007
Duties: Conduct assessments on sustainability of projects and contribute to production of Second Party Opinions (SPO), Net Zero Assessments (NZA), and related proprietary products for customers across a diverse set of sectors including financial, corporate, and public sectors. Conduct analysis, draft reports, and participate in issuer meetings. Contribute to thematic research that supports positioning Moody's as a thought leader in the sustainable finance space. Contribute to the Sustainable Finance team's product enhancement and development as well as the identification and analysis of market trends likely to impact the team’s strategy in North America. Perform analysis for SPOs, NZAs, and related products for a variety of issuers and sectors, demonstrating sound analytical judgement. Responsible for ensuring professional and responsive engagement with customers while demonstrating depth of expertise and knowledge. Build relationships with investors, underwriters and issuers and manage key strategic relationships. Develop and deliver thought leading presentations on key topics affecting the sustainable finance sector.
Requirements: Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration or a related field plus five (5) years of progressively responsible experience an Analyst or in a related position conducting analysis on sustainability factors in sustainable finance. Full term of experience must include the following: conducting analysis of sustainability and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations across different sectors; applying knowledge of sustainable finance standards and developments in global markets including LatAm; applying knowledge of net zero concepts, including greenhouse gas accounting; and proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $176,571 to $194,850/yr, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
