Department: MIS Commercial Group, Relationship Management
Role Overview:
As the Senior Vice President and Head of Relationship Management, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of the APAC Relationship Management Group. Based in the regional hub of Hong Kong, you will lead a team of relationship managers, focused on generating new business and nurturing relationships with existing Moody's Ratings customers in the Southern China region, including HKSAR, Macau SAR, and Taiwan. Your in-depth understanding of the debt capital markets, exceptional leadership skills, and ability to build strong professional networks will be key to solidifying and expanding Moody's presence across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leadership and Management: Lead, manage, and coach the Relationship Management team within the South China sub-region. Collaborate with other sub-regional heads in Greater China and other regions in APAC. Lead review of budget, forecast, and staffing needs for the sub-region.
* Business Development: Develop and execute a strategic business development plan for the sub-region. Proactively manage high-value accounts and lead the Annual Pricing Review. Design and initiate new product concepts where appropriate. Lead strategic discussions on business development and marketing initiatives for all rating franchises in the sub-region.
* Marketing and Events: Assist in coordinating marketing research and supporting marketing projects focused on the sub-region. Organize regional events such as roundtables and conferences; participate in relevant third-party conferences. Act as a senior representative of the team to key intermediary partners in the market.
* Regional and Global Projects: Provide support to the Asia Pacific Head of Relationship Management on regional and global projects.
Qualifications:
* Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, business, or economics
* Minimum of 15 years of experience in the financial services industry
* Previous experience in sales and marketing and in a managerial role preferred
* Fluency in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese
Key Competencies:
* Strategic thinking and ability to formulate and execute plans
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
* Strong customer facing skills with the ability to negotiate successful outcomes
* Ability to communicate and negotiate at the highest levels of the corporate hierarchy: e.g. CEO, CFO
* Profound knowledge of financial instruments and capital and credit markets
* Strong leadership and management skills
* Highly organized and efficient, with ability to multi-task and able to meet tight deadlines
* Proficiency in Moody's service suite and product offerings
